Jet Black Roses Partners with Operation Airdrop to Provide Relief to North Carolina

Local band Jet Black Roses teams up with Operation Airdrop to provide Hurricane Helene relief

In the wake of Hurricane Helene, communities across the affected areas are grappling with devastation and uncertainty. Jet Black Roses guitarist, Tyler Cates, is from North Carolina, a state heavily affected by the hurricane. As the people of this region struggle to recover, Jet Black Roses is partnering with the volunteer-based nonprofit Operation Airdrop to bring crucial aid to those in need.

What is Operation Airdrop?

Operation Airdrop was born out of a necessity observed during the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. Founded after volunteers realized isolated communities were cut off from essential aid, this nonprofit has made it their mission to deliver much-needed supplies by air when traditional means are not accessible. With a fleet of volunteer pilots and aircraft, Operation Airdrop ensures that no community is left behind in times of crisis.

A Shared Mission

Together, Jet Black Roses and Operation Airdrop are mobilizing resources and people to get life-saving supplies to the people of North Carolina. This includes food, water, medical necessities, and personal hygiene items—everything that may become someone's lifeline as they begin rebuilding their lives.

Jet Black Roses is currently hard at work with Operation AirDrop to develop a more long term strategy. For now, Operation Airdrop has prepared their ground fleet to send a semi truck to the Atlanta area in approximately 3 weeks (exact date TBA). Their immediate mission is to raise enough donations between now and then to FILL the truck from the ceiling to floor!
