With a T-Shirt
A Shirt in a Record Store Window
Brad Banyas was in a small North Georgia town when a band shirt outside the local record store stopped him. He went in to buy it, and the owner put Hush Money on the turntable. One minute in, he was floored. World-class talent, sitting undiscovered in a local record shop.
An Effort to Uncover Hidden Talent
That left one question: how much great talent is going unheard? The answer became Salty's Live Music, where independent artists play their originals live and tell their stories. Every one of them described the same struggle. Getting discovered was brutal, social media was a grind, and all they wanted was to focus on their craft.
Problems Are Destined to Become Solutions
So Brad and his business partner, Paul Sciandra, spent the next year studying the problem from every side: fans, musicians and venue owners. Not as industry insiders, but as fans with 50+ years of combined business and technology experience and a problem they'd heard firsthand. The result was Band Groupeez.

Banyas
Brad Banyas is a tech entrepreneur with 34 years of experience helping brands connect with their customers and fans, mostly by using technology to strengthen marketing, operations, customer relationships and brand management.
Born in the 1960s, he has spent nearly six decades immersed in music across almost every genre: rock, punk, country, blues, rap, bluegrass and alternative. He comes to the music industry with fresh eyes, applying business and technical expertise to help independent artists bypass traditional, gate-kept paths and build sustainable careers on their own merit.
Paul
Sciandra
Paul Sciandra grew up outside Buffalo, New York, and served in the U.S. Army before earning an appointment to West Point. It was during his military service, working with some of the earliest internet, GPS and desktop computing technology, that he found a passion for building software.
After the Army he built a career in technology and product development, working with companies from small New Jersey startups to larger firms in Manhattan and Georgia. He is an active member of his town's live music scene, at shows multiple times a week.
